In memory of
12/5/2019 – 12/10/2019
Holden’s Milky Way was founded in 2020 by Taylor & Ryan Hausfeld, following the sudden death of their precious newborn, Holden.
Through indescribable heartache and grief, Taylor Hausfeld made the decision to keep pumping breast milk, finding a small glimmer of comfort in the fact that she was helping hundreds of newborns get the best start in life possible.
In the course of donating countless gallons of milk to traditional milk banks, the Hausfelds found out that many babies are denied access to donated breast milk because their family did not meet the criteria necessary for traditional milk bank use. They also learned that many women who are willing and able to donate cannot do so because the costs involved are prohibitive.
In Holden’s memory, they established Holden’s Milky Way, so every baby can have equal access to nutritious, natural breast milk, and that everyone who is able to safely donate may do so without worrying about the costs associated.
